July 15: Powerscourt Gardens

We decided to give our bodies a day rest and went to Powerscourt Gardens. They are listed by National Geographics as the third most beautiful gardens in the world after Versailles and Kew gardens. Built in 1500s by Count Wingfield, an Englishman, who was given the land by Elizabeth I for his gallant fighting. 

There are a series of 6 gardens.
